Here, everyone counts

The Incluir Programme was created with the purpose of generating employment opportunities for people who face disadvantages in accessing the job market, namely people with disabilities and/or impairments, promoting equity and tackling barriers to labour market access.

The programme is based on an innovative, tailor-made training and development methodology, personalised for each candidate and adapted to the roles that can be carried out across the various businesses and areas of the Jerónimo Martins Group.

What is the Incluir Programme?

The programme may include practical, on‑the‑job training and is adapted to the skills and needs of each candidate. It includes training in transversal skills and, if necessary, physical adaptations to the workstation are made.

Once the training phase is successfully completed, the candidate is prepared to be hired by one of the Group’s companies.

What does the Incluir Programme offer?

  • Development of social skills such as better communication and teamwork.
  • Use of information technologies in a professional context.
  • Numeracy skills applied to the workplace.
  • Learning techniques for conflict management and interpersonal relationships.
  • Knowledge of occupational health and safety rules.
  • Acquisition of other skills that may be required for effective job performance.

The Incluir Programme offers opportunities tailored to each candidate’s skills and abilities, ensuring accessible and inclusive working conditions and helping identify the most suitable roles across different areas of the Group.

We adapt processes and spaces to guarantee accessibility, and we support each person from the application stage through to integration into the team.

Since 2015, the year we launched the Incluir Programme, we have supported more than 2,000 people – and hired over 800.

Thanks to this programme, many people have been able to secure a job for the first time. Others have improved their personal development and taken significant steps towards greater inclusion in society.

Support throughout the entire process

From the very first contact, each candidate receives personalised support to ensure a positive experience adapted to their needs.

This support is provided by a specialised technical team who will lead the recruitment and selection process. This includes analysing each person’s profile, skills and motivation.

After the selection stage, the same team will design a tailored training and integration plan for each candidate.
