HOME COUNTRY
3 WEEKS
Welcome & 1st Store dive-in
Trainees are welcomed in their home country (e.g. Trainees from Poland spend their first three weeks of the programme in Poland) by local HR teams and are introduced to the basic principles of our stores and our signature passion for food and service. At this stage, Trainees will have their first hands-on experience at the heart of our business, in our stores.
PORTUGAL
3 WEEKS
Corporate & Retail Training
All Trainees are together for 3 weeks at the Group’s headquarters in Lisbon. This immersive experience comprises workshops, meetings, training sessions and action learning activities, focused on deepening knowledge about our people, ethics, behaviours, as well as our business strategy and prospects. It’s a great adventure of work, fun and the beginning of long-lasting relationships.
POLAND
1 WEEK
The Polish Companies and Market
One week dedicated to getting in touch with the Stores, Logistics and support areas of the Group’s largest company, Biedronka, and with our main Specialised Retail format, Hebe.
HOME COUNTRY
7 MONTHS
Store immersion
As a group, Trainees proceed with their training with an emphasis on our Companies as well as technical training that will prepare them for the Individual Function Training challenges. Afterwards, considering the long-term development goals defined for each Trainee, they are assigned to different Stores with a specific training plan that will culminate in the landing position. During this period, Trainees are also assigned a business challenge.
HOME COUNTRY
3 MONTHS
Head Office and Logistics & Supply Chain
For one month, Trainees will have the opportunity to get to know one of our Head Office business areas and to participate in the development of specific projects, business meetings, events, among other activities. Trainees will also learn how we manage our Logistics and Supply Chain.
PORTUGAL
1 WEEK
Closure
All Trainees meet in Portugal for the programme closure week, where they are given the opportunity to be together, share experiences and have contact with senior managers that can leverage their retail knowledge.

  • 01

    DEVELOPMENT CHALLENGES
