THE TRAINEE PROGRAMME

Designed for those who want to make a difference, the trainee programme invests on your training and development over two years. The aim is to prepare you to become a future leader.

The first year is designed to give you a sense of our culture, gain self-awareness and see if we are a good fit for you.

Year Two is to really immerse yourself in the retail business and gain in-depth insights that will help you quickly access opportunities and build a successful career.

The first year is all about finding your passion and your place here. You’ll get to try two different projects and learn new skills along the way. You will have a tutor to guide you, give you feedback, and help you see if you fit our culture and values.

THE PROGRAMME IN A NUTSHELL

DISCOVER
Get to know yourself better, discover what you really like and understand if this is where you belong.
EXPERIMENT
Two assignments in two different functional areas is just what you need to explore, develop different skills and start to visualise your career your path. You can explore an area of your choice and another area that you wouldn’t even think of and really understand what you see yourself doing in the future.
LEARN
You’ll have a tutor who will guide you through the experience, providing ongoing feedback and encouraging your development so that together we can assess your fit with our business and values.
DEVELOP
Take the opportunity to get involved in development initiatives and business visits so that you can grow with us, get to know us better and understand what it’s like to work with us.

WHAT HAPPENS AT THE END OF YEAR ONE

It’s decision time for both of us.

We have a purpose, and we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to find their own. So, at the end of the first year of the trainee programme, you’ll face an important decision to be answered together: is this for you or not?

If it is, you’ll move on to Year Two and be one step closer to your future, embracing what it means to be one of our future leaders.

But if you think you should explore the world and take a different path, or if we agree that we are not a perfect match, we will go our separate ways.

TRAINEE PROGRAMME | YEAR TWO

Year Two is where you learn the ins and outs of the business and how to make a bigger impact as a future leader. You’ll be doing some cool things that will help you get to know the business and how to make smarter decisions.

The second year of the programme can only be done after completing Year One. If you finish the first year and are a good fit, you will automatically become a candidate for Year Two.

All candidates will go before our Chairman and CEO, as well as some members of the Managing Committee, for a final selection panel.

You’ll have a tutor to lead you on your day-to-day and a mentor that will give you guidance and advice so you can boost your development and have an accelerated career.

You will take part in development initiatives and business visits that will broaden your horizons, and you will have a mentor who will focus on your development and help you plan your career.

RECRUITMENT PROCESS

The application and recruitment process has four stages:

Online Application

Let us know who you are and what motivates you.

Online Assessment

We will evaluate your skills and your level of English.

Group Challenge and interview

You will work with other candidates to solve a business challenge and demonstrate your strengths. At the end, you’ll be invited to an interview so we can get to know you better.

Selection Panel

After Year One, and if you continue for Year Two, you will go before our Chairman and CEO as well as some Managing Directors for a final assessment.
