Fabio Villegas

Fabio Villegas Ramírez is a Colombian economist born in 1955 and holds a degree in Economics from the Jorge Tadeo Lozano University and a Masters from the London School of Economics.

He has served as Chief of Staff to the President of Colombia, Minister of the Interior, and held executive roles at Deutsche Bank and the Rothschild Group.
From 2005 to 2016, he was CEO of Avianca, leading its modernisation and listing on the New York Stock Exchange. Since 2016, he has been President of the Decameron Organization, a hotel chain in Latin America and the Caribbean.

He is currently on the Board of Directors of Carvajal S.A., an industrial conglomerate focused on packaging, paper, and technology services.
