Portuguese Mediterranean Diet Conference

The Mediterranean diet is classified as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO and deserves to be more widely disseminated, understood and cherished by the Portuguese.

For this purpose, the Jerónimo Martins Group organised the Portuguese Mediterranean Diet Conference. The event took place on 16 October 2020 and had institutional support from the Lisbon City Hall (within the scope of the European Green Capital Lisbon 2020), from the Faculty of Nutrition and Food Sciences of the University of Porto, and with the scientific sponsorship of the Portuguese Directorate-General of Health.
Pedro Graça, Dean of the Faculty of Nutrition and Food Sciences of the University of Porto, was the scientific curator of the conference.
